2024 Winter EOC Parent Letter

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

 

The Georgia Board of Education requires all students who are enrolled for credit in any of the courses listed below to take

the Georgia End of Course (EOC) upon course completion. The following four courses in Georgia have EOCs:

 

• Biology

• U.S. History

• American Literature

• Algebra Concepts & Connections

 

According to The Georgia Board of Education, the End-of-Course serves as the final exam for the courses listed above. The Board established a grade of 70 as the “passing score” for the End-of-Course Test and for all courses. For a student to receive credit for an End-of-Course, the average of the coursework and the EOC score must equal or exceed 70.

Thursday, December 5 American Literature, Parts II and III

Friday, December 6 Biology, Parts I and II

Monday, December 9 Make Up Day

Tuesday, December 10 Algebra: Concepts and Connections, Parts I and II

Wednesday, December 11 US History, Parts I and II

Thursday, December 12 Make Up Day

Friday, December 13 Materials Check-In Day

 

Note: This schedule is not to be shared with other schools as the use of this

schedule must have the approval of the Assessment Administration Department.

 

It is the expectation that every student enrolled in the four courses identified above take the End-of-Course (EOC). Students who fail to take the End-of-Course (as required) during this testing window, must do so by the end of the next subsequent grading period.
